Birds of a feather …

Yep it’s that time again! Time to shake my noggin about a bit and see what word combinations emerge this time. Enjoy!

Honk was not the most ambitious goose. His flock mates called him downright lazy. It was not his fault he preferred staying in one place than all this crazy flying about every few months. Who in their right mind wanted to fly miles when a simple leisurely float in a pond felt so good? Granted the float tended to lose its appeal when your downy arse started freezing to the pond, but still. And this year, with the unseasonal weather, what was the big hurry anyway? The Gander in Chief couldn’t seem to decide if they were coming or going!

That’s me….. much prefer floating over any kind of physical exertion…

  2. Don’t just do something . . . sit there! :D

  3. Goosey goodness. I seem to be stuck, perhaps I am stuck in the ice.

    • Those ARE good painkillers aren’t they? My first look at this prompt generated the same reaction. Then I did the old “how can I take this in a different direction?” thang again and walla!

  4. I love this goose. He’s a goose after my own heart. Please can we hear a bit more of his story?

  5. I agree with the goose. Enough of this flying around! Fun story. Thank you!

  6. Lovely gentle piece of writing. Am rethinking what I am going to do now after reading all the great work so far…

  7. How fun to get into the minset of this goose! This (almost :) )sounds like a wonderful tale for the whole family, a tale kids could enjoy, too.

  8. I can quite understand where the goose is coming from! Not surprising that nature is getting a bit confused about what she is supposed to be doing! Funny piece.

  9. We are getting birds that usually migrate staying near us! Love this idea. Can think of a few other Gander’s in Chief who don’t know what to do…
